Jobless Rate Drops to 7.7%

The new Employment Situation Summary released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the lowest unemployment figures in four years, with strong gains in the retail sector - including 53,000 new jobs added for the holiday season.  There were a total of 146,000 new jobs created in November.  The report is not all good, as the manufacturing sector lost 7,000 jobs, and a large portion of the decrease in unemployment rate is related to people who are
