On Actually Using Your Liberal Arts Degree
I really enjoyed this New York Times article "How to Get a Job with a Philosophy Degree" - it's so nice to read about schools actually preparing their students to enter the workforce upon graduation. (Disclaimer: this article will NOT actually tell you how to get a job with a Philosophy degree.) While I can understand how some skeptics feel it is reducing the value of an education to its worth in the job market, I see so many people who have invested a lot of time, effort, and money into their post-secondary educations, and yet graduate with no idea of what comes next.
